If this winds up killing far less than seasonal flue, we’ll have two choice to make next flu season.
We’ll either have to take a deep breath and face flu season like we always have, or we’ll have to quarantine the nation for about 3-6 months and then pick up the pieces.
I’m thinking we should treat this like the flu, and get on with our lives.
The Asian Flu epidemic, here, in the fall of 1957 killed some, but was SO wide spread, in some places, that whole schools were shut down. But AFAIK, nobody had hysterics over it!
When my mother was a little girl, Whooping Cough was rampant. Houses with those who had it were under quarantine, with tape across the front door and a sign posted that Whooping Cough was present within. There were NO anti-biotics, no vaccine prevention, and almost 200,000 Americans got it a year; though that figure may be on the low side! And yes, it KILLED many...especially very young children!
Today's snowflakes know NO history at all;hence the hysterics, I guess.
Well either have to take a deep breath and face flu season like we always have, or well have to quarantine the nation for about 3-6 months and then pick up the pieces.
Im thinking we should treat this like the flu, and get on with our lives.
