This is a disservice to the black students who had qualified for admission by their own merit, as the perception by other students will be that their race got them into Harvard. The other students will never admit it, but they will think it.

Makes one suspect the intelligence of all black physicians in practice from Harvard. Just think, the physician may be substandard yet to get where he/she was just because of their skin colour. I'm sure other Ivy League schools are guilty for instance just reading Michelle Obama’s thesis makes me wonder about the level of academia at Princeton.

This practice sure keeps out additional, actual competition - of ANY color.

What if they did this to improve the success of the non-token students? Lower the chances of being edged out by additional intellectual peers for jobs, contracts, awards, fellowships, contacts, etc.?

Who are the students who benefit from having a smaller brain pool? Token students can get token jobs, or drop out eventually.

Yes I see the world in a very skewed way, but I did have a brain tumor.

There was a time when they had a quota capping the number of Jews they would admit. Now they have inverted the meritocratic process to limit the number of Asians admitted. They should have a diverse student body - intellectually diverse.

Though Harvard really isn’t the problem. It’s wrong but it’s a minnow in the ocean. Public K-12 schools are where the real problems are. How many schools in Baltimore where none of the kids can pass the math proficiency test?

This is happening at colleges and universities all across the county. For those parents being prosecuted for paying to get their children admitted, this should be a huge factor in defending themselves.
