if there are over 30,000,000 peopel over age of 18 in california, and they each get $1000 a month, California then has to come up with $300,000,000,000 per month every month?
If a thousand dollars a month is good, wouldn’t ten thousand be better?

Once they start up a VAT, it’ll never go away. The VAT puts burdens on businesses to comply. They have to do the work, and are not paid for it. So everything except abortions, sex-change operations and euthanasia will cost more!
Also, the added money will be chasing after goods that non-recipients want, raising the prices.
In a short time, the 1000 will not be enough, and the slackers will demand 2000. Then the VAT will be raised to 30%. Prices go up, and the folks demand 4000. You see where this is going?

This is flat out unconstitutional. It is simply bribery of the electorate.
Me and my buddy at work just came up with a two-fer plan to bus our homeless people to California, and in return they give a small stipend of course.
By democrat definition "tax payer" money, is any money that has not yet been paid to the state. Any money held by the state is then defined as "the peoples money". Thus your dollars were not spent, but the state merely repurposed the money they hold to those more deserving.
See how that works?
