"Chris Matthews suggests the Democratic establishment is better off with four more years of Trump than the Bernie Sanders movement taking over and reshaping their party."
______________
That's interesting.
Several leftists are essentially proposing
cannibalism, from several countries —
Chris Mathews deserves the full brunt of the Stupid he’s helped create, but...
I certainly see the parallel he was trying to draw. France was NOT expected to fall so early. By anyone. The plans of EVERYONE involved were based on a much more protracted battle in France. The fall of France was a radical game-changer for the allies and forced a total reset.
It is a real shame for critical thought that all references to WWII are reduced to, “He called him a Nazi!” There were significant happenings in the war that much can be learned from, if a little thought is applied.
Of course, it’s the Left that doesn’t want people to learn from history, and shouts “Nazi!” first and loudest. While I enjoy seeing them do it to their own, it seems a shame to shut down Mathews one of the few times he’s trying to use his brain.
Also,Butthurt’s daddy was a Gramsciist cultural Marxist. So, we are witnessing the establishment of the first American soviet. We are not far from the same politival situation that caused Spain to descend into madness in the 1930s.
I wonder how Sanders likes being treated like a Republican?
Chris Matthews should be ashamed to call Bernie a Nazi.
Nazis are on one end of the political spectrum, and Communists are all the way over on the other side.
Nazis are militarized, murderous totalitarians with their own speech codes and lingo, who ostracize subsets of people, run prison death camps, and want the state to control the production of goods.
Communists, on the other hand, are militarized, murderous totalitarians with their own speech codes and lingo, who ostracize subsets of people, run prison death camps, and want the state to own the production of goods.
Completely different, or so I have been told by the media.
Matthews' analogy was to a campaign that was lost before most people realized it.
The Germans did not overrun the Maginot Line, at least not initially. They came through the Ardennes and crossed the Belgian border into France, which was not fortified. They were in Sedan and advancing west before the French knew what was happening. They bypassed the Maginot Line.
But I'm not surprised by the uproar. Lefties and their media wingnuts are not grounded in reality and don't know real history, just the Zinn version.
Did anyone near Berie’s victory speech last night? I could have sworn he said near the very end, “ This is not a progressive party but a Workers party. “ If so he made it official the Dems now are the workers party i.e communist party.
Not me, but I am 60 and love history.
Erratum: Paul Reynaud was the premier, not a general.
Since when did Chris Matthews defend capitalism over socialism???
His turning on Bernie is NOT consistent with his support for Obama.
They pretty much were after the same thing.
Gotta do away with the non-socialist believer! No opposition! LOL
Matthews is just upset that Bernie is revealing their intentions before they consolidate power.
James Carville is NEXT
Too funny!! Theyre all collapsing like a house of cards
Let’s trust that leftists continue to eat other leftists.
Buy stock in any popcorn maker. It is a good buy right now.

> Matthews’ analogy was to a campaign that was lost before most people realized it. <
Right. Matthews just as easily could have said it was like Custer riding out to meet Sitting Bull at Little Big Horn.
Oh, wait. That probably would have offended native Americans like Elizabeth Warren. Never mind.
I think the word "Nazi" was inspired by "Sozi," for Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (Social Democratic Party of Germany) or simply Sozialist (Socialist).
Bernie’s goals and opinions aren’t any different from the other socialists running for president. In fact, Chris’s opinions aren’t really any different from Bernie. The only difference is, Bernie is more frank about it, and he isn’t owned quite so directly by the machine. He is a loose cannon.
Chris, on the other hand, like the other candidates, is wholly and completely owned by the machine.
The Nazis ate their own. The SA put Hitler in power but felt they should have been the keeper of German military arms. The German General Staff said “No way’’. Hitler saw the handwriting on the wall and used the SS to eliminate them.
