Say Goodbye to 'Nondisclosure Mike' Bloomberg
Townhall.com ^ | February 23, 2020 | Wayne Allyn Root

I hate to say it, but I told you so. This was a no-brainer. Anyone with common sense could see it coming from 1,000 miles away. Mike Bloomberg is the Titanic-Hindenburg-"Poseidon Adventure" of the Democratic Party.

For weeks, I've said Bloomberg is the worst public speaker ever. He's boring, whiny, elitist, arrogant, stuck-up and thoroughly unlikeable. Plus, he's really, really short. But "Mini Mike" beat even my low expectations during the Democratic presidential debate in Las Vegas.

But give Bloomberg credit. He just set an all-time record. He's the first gambler in history to lose $350 million in one night in Vegas!

My observations after watching every minute of the debate:

I have a new nickname for Bloomberg. I think President Donald Trump will love it. From now on, call him "Nondisclosure Mike." That's the end of Bloomberg.

By the way, that was the worst debate performance ever. Can you imagine? Bloomberg didn't know his presidential rivals would ask about all his former female employees' lawsuits and their nondisclosure agreements? That question never came up in debate preparation?

And no one ever bothered to ensure he had a good response? A guy worth $65 billion didn't know it wouldn't be received well by liberal feminists if he answered that the nondisclosures are for "the women's protection." Really?

Wait; it gets better. Nondisclosure Mike also claimed that none of these women was harassed by him. They were just offended by "a joke." Oh, boy. Clueless Bloomberg doesn't understand that radical feminists think a sexist joke by a wealthy white male should be punishable by death

Well, he does now.

Enough about Bloomberg. I didn't come to bury Bloomberg. He already did that himself. (The lines about Bloomberg just write themselves.)

The other biggest loser of the night was socialism -- not on that debate stage and not among that audience but among the rest of America. Democrats have painted themselves (and isolated themselves) on an island: Communist Island. They look like crazy people. I have the perfect island for them: Cuba. They'll feel right at home.

Then there's the Culinary Union Local 226. It was a big star of "the Night of 1,000 Losers," too. Everyone was focused on union members angry at the thought of losing their hard-fought health care benefits in a "Medicare for All" system. Welcome to my world.

When President Barack Obama wrecked the finances of millions of middle-class Americans and small-business owners, the union couldn't have cared less. When my rates went from $500 per month to $2,000 because of "Obamacare," the union couldn't have cared less. Labor leaders have proven to be the worst greedy, selfish hypocrites of all time.

Oh, and the big winner of the night? That's easy. President Trump.

"Wonder if those that signed NDAs would have to give the money back if they decided to rescind"

If they rescind they'll have broken their contract and get sued into oblivion, unless the MSM runs interference for them.

I wonder if since the idiot is now a ‘public figure’ that the NDAs no longer matter and they are free to comment?

Mikey shows that no matter how much you spend on marketing a defective product, most people won’t by it.

Your view is not the average person’s view. And you are right. In fairness, one can only go on the facts. Successful, wealthy people, more powerful politicians, media types, et al - some are decent people and some are not. But in either case, deserved or not, there are people who will try to capitalize on such status and use “legal extortion” to make some money, write a book, etc.

Mike B really fell down on this issue when Warren attacked. Perhaps because he knows his NDAs were hiding some bad things in his politically correct world prison, and best to keep them confidential. Despite that, he should have pounced back hard on Warren, and her history of prevarication. He would offer to consider reaching out to the parties in the NDAs for disclosure but only after she fully made available, starting with Harvard, property mortgage applications, US Census, etc etc every application and document that used for promoting her fake, wooden Indian heritage to financially benefit herself and advance her career. She would never do that, and hence he would not have to either.

“... no matter how much you spend on marketing a defective product, most people won’t buy it.”

So compare Mike to how Trump handled it when his Stormy Daniels NDA became the defective product. After all one could argue Trump had a defective product due to his NDAs as well. First, Trump had the advantage of running against the lady with too much baggage. Second, Trump ended up getting Stormy to pay him in the end, that she had to sue her attorney who is going to prison. Trump, with all major media against him and no help from the politically correct GOP, played offense. Mike B had a golden opportunity to neutralize the fake Indian with her history of lying and using fake heritage to benefit herself.

Did Stormy give her money back when she decided to tell all? Maybe she did in hope of a bigger payday but I don’t recall.

Agree 100% but there is more. Bloomberg is a Christian hating Jew. I live in S Florida and run into his type constantly.
Trump, despite his support of Isreal, will get less Jewish support than he did in 2016.

But Trump can’t be the one to go there again with the Bloomie’s nondisclosures.

For sure. And all the more damning that Bloomberg, not to mention Ms. Warren, didn't have the smarts to elaborate the issue. Whew.

“Bloomberg isn’t the first billionaire who is trying to buy the election. I remember the last one who tried it. He made it only to Super Tuesday and then had to drop out as this was as far as it went.”

Who was that? It obviously wasn’t Trump.

I never thought Bloomberg could win even before his disastrous performance the other night. He somehow manages to be radically out of step both with Middle America and with the Bernie Bros. He is not charismatic at all and is not a good speaker. Yes he has money but money alone will not get you the presidency. Leftist Billionaires thinking that it does because Trump won are deluding themselves. Trump won because he is charismatic, he correctly pointed out the Establishment had screwed a lot of things up and he was genuine. All the things he said in 2016 were things he had been saying for decades. People remembered that.

The only other acknowledged billionaire was Ross Perot.

The writer may be mistakenly assuming Steve Forbes is a billionaire.

OK, forgot that little Munchkin. Did he drop out of the race?

I remember being in to the end.

I am not referring to NDAs. On both sides, they are likely legal but unsavory to many. I am specifically referring to political philosophies.

Trump stands for liberty, reduction of the size and control of the federal government, strong border control, America first, etc.

While Bloomberg was mayor of NYC stood for micro managing of every day life like restricting salt availability in restaurants to banning the sale of a 17 ounce soft drink. He has shown a total disregard for the Second Amendment. Imagine what he would do with the full power of the presidency with his tyrannical tendencies. That is the defective product I am referring to that Bloomberg is selling.

Bloomie is the classic example of a successful person who becomes filled with hubris and feels he can make the world a better place by telling everyone else how to live.

Thanks for clarifying as I construed your point too narrowly. I agree with your position. Unfortunately, there are millions of people who would still buy Bloomberg’s product - as a great circus man once said, there is a sucker born every minute.

He dropped out after Super Tuesday in ‘96. In 2000, he didn’t get that far.

I don’t know the story behind that. Maybe a state by state thing?

Mike’s still in the game until he stops twitching or runs out of money or gives up.
The irony or the “runs out of money” conceit is that in the Trump economy, Mike made more money last year than he will spend - at the highest estimates - on his presidential anti-Trump bid this year.
