Cancerous growths take on the characteristics of the point of origin.

If the cancer originated in the kidney it, like the kidney itself, will be densely packed with blood vessels and therefore presenting a high likelihood of severe hemorrhaging during surgery.

Cancer is always serious; some more dangerous than others, but always serious. I also had kidney cancer three years ago. It was removed using the DaVinci Robot (check it on Google). It was complex because of all the blood vessels in the area. I had 6 small little holes in my abdomen which healed quickly. I was in the hospital for 3 days and doctors gave me 90-95% survival rate.
