The contagious nature of this disease and the mortality rate have been covered up by China. Both are a lot higher on the scale than any government wants to admit to avoid panic, but their intelligence services know what is happening in China. The REACTIONS of the governments of nations to this disease tells me ALL I need to know.

I’m on the ground here in Changwon, South Korea... just took a stroll through the City 7 Mall. It’s like a ghost town. Starbucks has two customers in it... McDonald’s a couple customers.... KFC they are scrubbing the place down with zero customers... As I walked back in to my hotel the bellman put the infrared thermometer up to me to check my temperature before letting me back in. I have had two emergency alerts on my phone here relating to the Corona Virus. It appears people are hunkering down to avoid public spaces and the only people who are out are those that “have to” be out with their job.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

What do you think? Hysteria, or justifiable precautions?
