Pro-Trump parents suggest locking down children's bank accounts to stop them donating to Sanders

A pro-Trump activist is urging parents to lock their children's bank accounts to prevent them from donating to Bernie Sanders' campaign to become president.

Amy Kremer is a conservative activist who has links to the Tea Party movement and is the chair of Women for America First (a Trump-supporting organisation) and the co-founder for Women for Trump.

With the 2020 election just over the horizon, she is already in campaign mode and clearly doesn't want the president to face Bernie Sanders in the race.

In a tweet that she posted on Friday, Kremer called on parents to 'lock down' their children's bank accounts over fears that they might respond to one of Sanders' requests for a small donation of money.

According to her, Sanders has been emailing the younger offspring of Trump supporters, asking for just $2.70 towards his campaign, which is obviously an unthinkable atrocity, especially after her best friend caught her son committing such an act against the POTUS.

As you can imagine, this tweet has backfired on Kremer, with many people explaining to her that this is exactly why younger voters are turning to candidates like Sanders, with many adding that they have chosen to increase their donations to Sanders after seeing her tweet.

I don’t get it. If the kids aren’t minors how can the parents lock anything?

And if the kids are minors, is it legal for candidates to accept money from kids?

It’s just something my very conservative daughter made me aware of. I enjoy reading replies from others here on Free Republic, from people who are smarter than I am.

She’s not talking about normal kids here. These are Trustafarians, whose parents or grandparents control the Family Trust Fund, and any payments or allowances that are made from it. The same adult age kids that follow bands like The Greatful Dead across the country, always show up at big events like Burning Man and Rainbow people gatherings. The ones with the nice cars or suvs, but never seem to work.

This REEKS of FAKE News.

My kids are all NON political and will be voting for Trump. They say the Democrats are “too jacked”. I think that means weird.

It likely is fake news, but it does raise an interesting question: Can candidates accept money from minors?

Can candidates accept money from minors?

Yes, I seen minors listed on campaign reports. They were families with money as you have to give a certain amount before reporting is triggered.

I would think that if the parents or grandparents controlling the trust fund had any conservative inclinations then they would have put stipulations on the use of the trust fund, such as the child must complete college or trade school, work, save some money themselves toward a home, date and marry a good person, and then, only then, will significant amounts of money from the trust fund be given to them and mainly so that one of the couple can stay home with the kids.

The problem is that a lot of these parents and grandparents are limousine leftists and, if not donating to Bernie, are donating to one of the Demonrats running.
