When Bloomberg News’s Reporting on China Was Challenged, Bloomberg Tried to Ruin Me for Speaking Out

I am one of the many women Mike Bloombergs company tried to silence through nondisclosure agreements. The funny thing is, I never even worked for Bloomberg.
But my story shows the lengths that the Bloomberg machine will go to in order to avoid offending Beijing. Bloombergs company, Bloomberg LP, is so dependent on the vast China market for its business that its lawyers threatened to devastate my family financially if I didnt sign an NDA silencing me about how Bloomberg News killed a story critical of Chinese Communist Party leaders. It was only when I hired Edward Snowdens lawyers in Hong Kong that Bloomberg LP eventually called off their hounds after many attempts to intimidate me.
In 2012, I was working toward a Ph.D. in sociology at Tsinghua University in Beijing, and my husband, Michael Forsythe, was a lead writer on a Bloomberg News article about the vast accumulation of wealth by relatives of Chinese President Xi Jinping, part of an award-winning Revolution to Riches series about Chinese leaders.

Welcome to the world of Bloomberg. And a glimpse of who he serves and the tactics he is capable of. Shudder the thought of him in power in the Fed Gov.
None of this should be surprising on the part of Chinese leadership.

Please note the comment at the bottom of the article excerpt on The War Room.
An amazingly accurate comment. (at this point, it is the only comment)

Interesting. When Bloomers was accused of having NDAs all over the place I assumed he was being #MeTood. Now we find out he was using NDAs to suppress stories he didnt like? Now we know why he changed parties. Tyrannical creeps are right at home over there.

For full disclosure, this is the "about the author" note at the end of the piece. Bloomberg is slime, but this woman donates and volunteers for Warren. Keep that in mind as you read the article.
Leta Hong Fincher is a journalist and scholar who has won several awards for her reporting on China, including the Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi Award. She is the author of Betraying Big Brother: The Feminist Awakening in China and Leftover Women: The Resurgence of Gender Inequality in China. She is a supporter of the presidential campaign of Elizabeth Warren, and has both donated to her and volunteered for her.

Basically, her problem with the Communist Party is that it’s not communist enough. Whereas Pocahontas will do communism right on American soil.

This is either a complete guess or a bare-faced lie. 3000 terminals is 1% of the 300K installed Bloomberg terminals. For Bloomberg, China is more than a rounding error. But not much more.

This lady author is probably of Chinese origin. What I’ve found is that, possibly because of indoctrination from an early age, my average Chinese acquaintance vastly over-estimates the importance of the Chinese market to foreign countries. Not being Chinese, I have no such blinders obscuring my perceptions. Thanks to Chinese government efforts at excluding foreign goods and services, situations like Bloomberg LP’s, where its Chinese market share is infinitesimal despite being dominant everywhere else, are unexceptional. Google and Amazon share Bloomberg’s plight.

Now we know why he changed parties. Which time?
When he changed from RAT to Rep. to run for NYC Mayor or when he changed from Rep. to RAT to run for POTUS?
