Buttigieg slams Trump: My marriage never involved 'hush money to a porn star'
Yahoo! News ^ | February 19, 2020 | by Stephen Proctor

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg slammed President Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh at a CNN town hall Tuesday night. Last week, Limbaugh came under fire for making homophobic comments about Buttigieg and his marriage, something he has said he won’t apologize for, according to Limbaugh, because Trump told him not to. But between Limbaugh’s comments and Trump telling the conservative radio host not to apologize, Trump said he’d vote for a gay presidential candidate, and Buttigieg isn’t buying the contradictory stories.

Asked if he’d take Trump at his word about voting for a gay candidate, Buttigieg responded, “Well, not if he’s sending out his supporters to talk in this way.”

Buttigieg then got into the absurdity of Trump or Limbaugh taking anyone to task over family values being that they have seven marriages between them.

“I mean, the idea that Rush Limbaugh or Donald Trump lecturing anybody on family values…” Buttigieg said before being drowned out by cheers from the crowd.

Buttigieg then brought up the hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal before the 2016 election for alleged extramarital affairs with Trump, stating that that’s something he’s never had to do.

“Sorry, but one thing about my marriage is, it’s never involved me having to send hush money to a porn star after cheating on my spouse with him or her,” Buttigieg said to thunderous applause. “So, they want to debate family values? Let’s debate family values. I’m ready.”

Pete, I hate to break this to you, but you aren’t married. That is for men and women.

But at least it involved a member of the opposite sex.

Boy Scouts had a problem with abuse even before they let *openly* gay scouts and scoutmasters in.

Knowledge is power, so I would rather know who’s normal and who’s not.

The porn star business was Stormy Daniels making an accusation without evidence, which Trump denied. He paid hush money because this was shortly before the election and could have lost him votes from people who would assume he was guilty (of a consensual affair). In other words, Stormy is a blackmailer. The ancient Greeks had a term for that--a sykophantes.

Mayor Pete also attacked Limbaugh for having been married multiple times. I don't think the attacks will hurt Rush with his followers who are probably all already aware of that and don't care. But the attacks probably please Pete's secular liberal followers who don't believe in Christian morality but think Pete is scoring points with his attacks.

How sane is a man who is enamored by another man’s anal sphincter?

Gay Pete’s marriage never involved a marriage.

The stupid media keeps reporting that Rush made homophobic comments. He didn’t. He said that he assumed or knew that there were Dems in back rooms who were worried about it. Prove him wrong. In a court of law. 😄

“Government has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property. When government— in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.”- Milton Friedman

Government should protect it's people, not just from foreign aggression but also from crime and hidden dangers.

Letting queers run loose causes increases in diseases, murders, and child molestations.

I think preventing all of those is well within the mandate of government.

My advice to Trump is to keep quiet on this. Butt plug is unlikely to win the nomination in any case.

Fair enough, but where do you draw the line? If a certain racial or age group is found to commit statistically more crimes should they be monitored, even if an individual member of that group has done nothing yet? Where do you draw the line between preventative measures and becoming like the society in Minority Report?

As you can probably tell I am far more terrified of the FedGov than I am of a few nancy boys.

“...it’s never involved me having to send hush money to a porn star...”

Mayor Pete Butt would be having no problems if it got out he sent hush money to a female porn star. But that avenue of redemption is forever closed down.

I believe we stop the elderly from driving cars when they are seen to have lost the ability to do so safely. I think we have age limits for airline pilots too.

It's all a question of probabilities.

Where do you draw the line between preventative measures and becoming like the society in Minority Report?

If someone has a mental illness with known characteristics, there is a high probability that they will act similarly to others with this same mental illness.

You speak of "Minority Report" which featured "pre-crime." I speak of what was normal for most of this nation's existence. Queers molest children, commit more than their fair share of the murders, and spread disease.

As you can probably tell I am far more terrified of the FedGov than I am of a few nancy boys.

Give them time. Much of the upper management of the Nazi party was homosexual. They preferred them because they could be counted on to go way farther than a normal person in inflicting cruelty or adherence to cruel orders.

Likewise, you aren't Arthur Ashe, or Isaac Asimov, or Ryan White, all of who died from AIDS infected blood which got into the system because homosexuals donated it into the system.

But yes, the Federal government is a frightening threat, but in the past, queers were locked up by State Governments. I don't think sexual deviancy is really a Federal issue, and the Federal government used to do a better job confining it's reach to issues of Federalism.

“The stupid media keeps reporting that Rush made homophobic comments.”

This is their modus operandi, telling the same lie over and over again until the lie becomes the truth.
