The Justice Department pushed back Tuesday night at multiple reports claiming Attorney General William Barr told people close to him he’s considering stepping down over President Trump’s tweets, days after Barr admitted that Trump’s tweeting made it “impossible for me to do my job.”

“Addressing Beltway rumors: The Attorney General has no plans to resign,” DOJ spokeswoman Kerri Kupec tweeted.

Barr “has his limits,” one person familiar with Barr’s thinking told The Washington Post.

Its report suggested that Barr wanted Trump to “get the message” to stop weighing in publicly in ongoing criminal cases. An administration official gave a similar admission on Barr to The Associated Press. …

The AG already addressed his issues with tweeting in an ABC interview. The rest of it was made up by the media quoting the usual anonymous sources.

I wish that was true but as with guys like Mattis, Kelly, Bolton, it was not all made up. I am leaning towards true unless he comes out and says he never told anyone he was thinking about it.

Trump is an expert at getting inside the media’s OODA loop.

He already said in that TV interview a few days ago that President Trump’s tweeting made it “impossible” for him to do his job.
The media promptly added 2 and 2 together and arrived at 5, which is “impossible to do his job” means “resign”.
So far in Trump’s administration, over 90% of stories quoting anonymous sources have been entirely made up.
Rule of thumb: Never believe any anonymous sourced story from the media.

Barr and Lindsey are in a contest to see who can do the least to hamper the Deep State while pretending they are going to be aggressive.

His pass on McCabe was very narrow. It was just related to his leaking during the Hillary email “investigation.” It had nothing to do with FISA abuse, so there’s still that.

I’m not worried about Barr, and I’m optimistic about Durham.

And, on previous threads dealing with this subject the vast majority of Freepers jumped right on to the media reporting on this subject. Accepting the medias reports as Gospel and spouting off on the assumption the media reporting was absolutley true. If Freepers (who one would think should know better) swallow the MSM’s word as Gospel the moment they print something, how do we expect the LIV’s to react any differently?
I don’t expect much from the LIV’s but, it is very very disappointing to see the knee-jerk Freeper reaction immediately swallowing the MSM “news” hook, line, and sinker.

Just as I suspected, obscure reports of AG Barr “thinking of resigning” were nothing more than Fake News. Everyone should have seen that...

Fire Barr, Fire all of DOJ (110,000) but 25, thats all you need!

Given the cost for DC government blue collar worker including benefits, working space, equipment, pension, health benefits, etc is conservatively $200k each:

Government cost savings: $200,000 x 110,000) = $22 billion.
2nd benefit, many living and voting democratic in Virginia will move elsewhere.

DOJ’s 2020 budget: 29 billion, reference: https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/department-justice-fy-2020-budget-request

On two of those threads I posted the Tweet that this article mentions. I posted it more than half an hour before this article. Unfortunately very few people actually read the comments anymore in an attempt to enlighten themselves. I believed the headline to be fake news right from the get go. By now you would think that intelligent people would realize what the MSM is up to. Especially when it comes to the WP.

Barr knew Trump before he accepted the job. Barr is a big boy. He’s in it for the long haul and he believes in what he is doing.

Barr admitted that Trump’s tweeting made it “impossible for me to do my job.”

I believe that is an accurate quote.

How foolish to say it’s “impossible” to do is job because of Trump’s tweets.

Better to have said that it makes it harder for him to do his job.

Really stupid to phrase it the way he did.

NOTHING should make it ‘impossible’ for the AG to do is job.

If what he said is the way he really thinks, then he is too weak to be the AG.
