Judge Will Not Delay Roger Stone’s Sentencing

President Donald Trump’s longtime adviser Roger Stone will be sentenced Thursday despite a request by the defense attorneys for a delay, a federal judge overseeing his case ruled Tuesday.

“I think that delaying this sentence would not be a prudent thing to do under all of the circumstances,” said Judge Amy Berman Jackson in a Tuesday telephone conference with lawyers.

Jackson’s decision comes after all four prosecutors in Stone’s case resigned over the Justice Department reversing their recommended prison sentence of 87 to 108 months for the GOP operative. Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday condemning both the former prosecutors and Judge Jackson.

"These were Mueller prosecutors, and the whole Mueller investigation was illegally set up based on a phony and now fully discredited Fake Dossier, lying and forging documents to the FISA Court, and many other things. Everything having to do with this fraudulent investigation is...These were Mueller prosecutors, and the whole Mueller investigation was illegally set up based on a phony and now fully discredited Fake Dossier, lying and forging documents to the FISA Court, and many other things. Everything having to do with this fraudulent investigation is.......BUT MAYBE I STILL WILL. WITCH HUNT!"

“I think that delaying this sentence would not be a prudent thing to do under all of the circumstances“

What circumstances?
Why wouldn’t it be prudent?

Everything from the Mueller case is going to be called null and void. Judge Amy may find herself under investigation and impeached. She should hold off or else.

Probably because these judge wants to toss Stone in prison.

They want to say the Russian hoax was real by putting Stone in prison.

IIRC Federal sentences aren't begun on the day they're handed down but, rather, they begin weeks..or even months...after they're announced. If I'm correct then the President should probably delay a pardon until after the election. This,of course, would mean that Stone would serve a few months in prison that he shouldn't be serving.

Yes,there's unfairness involved...but if he does it before the election it could prove harmful to him on Election Day.

DJT losing in November would be a bigger injustice than Stone spending a few months in prison.

Waiting would be the lesser of two evils.

I am looking forward to seeing President Trump pardon Roger Stone after the miscarriage of justice from this so-called Judge. Obama judges should never get cases more serious than a traffic citation, not when real judges are available.

Judge: I'd be pilloried by Mika and Joe, then ridiculed by Wolf Blitzer,Jake Tapper and Don Lemon, and then asked to leave my bowling league. If you guys think being a judge is easy work, you just try wearing my robe for one day. Hard work.

Because of Trump's Tweet of a week or so ago. Delaying it would make it look like she was influenced by his demands.

“it could prove harmful to him on Election Day.”

We didn’t elect PDJT to worry about elections.
And he doesn’t.

Our President will do the right thing regardless, and THAT is why we elected him.

Why delay? He pardoned Arpaio before his sentence was handed down.

Yes,there's unfairness involved...but if he does it before the election it could prove harmful to him on Election Day.

How?

this so-called Judge. Obama judges should never get cases more serious than a traffic citation, not when real judges are available.

Older Obama judges used their valuable back cover coupons cut out from comic books they had intended to save, and sent for "Learn Law at Home" course.

Younger ones used online college course programs but had buddies fill in the answers (for beer, Cheetos and some cash). Got their diplomas and Obama appointed them.

By giving the Left yet another point to attack, calling it cronyism and coverup. Why feed them?

Conventional wisdom would be to wiat until after the election to pardon Stone. But as we know Trump is not conventional. Ha ha.

This is appalling. Amy Berman Freisler. Considering the forewoman came out as a shill and biased, this decision should be vacated.

Good point. Trump needs to be talking about the economy, not defending a pardon. Some people here are not focusing on winning the election.
