The head of the Chinese hospital at the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak has become one of the latest victims — dying Tuesday despite “all-out” attempts to save him, officials confirmed.

As director of Wuchang Hospital, Dr. Liu Zhiming led the fight to try to contain COVID-19, dedicating the hospital to treating the thousands of patients arriving every day.

It ultimately cost him his life, with Wuhan’s health bureau confirming that he died at 10:54 a.m. Tuesday. He was 51.

I’m no doctor or virus expert, but it sure looks/sounds like a lab-engineered bioweapon that somehow got released...either by accident or on purpose. This is not a naturally occurring virus. IF it were, we’d have seen instances of it before by now.

How do they claim a 2-3% fatality rate when the ENTIRE family of a Chinese film director died from it. NOT a statistical reality according to the official rate. I think the fatality rate is above 50%.

If we look at the leaked numbers from tencent a week or two ago, and assume those are accurate, we can say the Chinese official numbers are 70x low on deaths, and doubly high on recoveries.

So that gives a current Chinese mortality rate of 15%(official) - 95%(extrapolated).

There are tons of naturally occurring viri that haven't been seen yet. Either they're naturally present in a population that doesn't have human contact, or they simply haven't mutated enough to cross over yet. Or, they could need special circumstances to make the infection move, that haven't come together yet. Especially RNA viri, they mutate and change quite often.

not exactly pneumonia. the pneumonia triggers something called ARDS or adult respiratory distress syndrome. The kings become very stiff and difficult to ventilate. it takes an ICU a ventilator and a lot of skill to get someone through it and the mortality rate is considerable. ARDS can be triggered by many things in including viral and bacterial pneumonias
