On Mondays broadcast of MSNBCs Deadline White House, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden absolutely joined calls for Attorney General William Barr to resign.
Host Nicolle Wallace asked, So, we have been talking about the letter signed by more than 2,000 former Justice Department officials of both political parties calling on Attorney General Barr to resign. Do you join their calls for his resignation?

“so now trying to stop the investigations.”
Why would they stop him? He’s handing get out of jail cards like candy.
Now that was funny right there.
Biden: I Absolutely Believe Barr Should Resign...so I can smell his hair.
Sez Gropin’ Joe, Poster Boy for Grand Larceny While Senile.
Who’s this ‘Biden person’ you’re talking about?
It does seem that the msm/Democrat coalition believes EVERY Republican (Mitt Romney excepted) should resign.
Okay, not really but that's the standard dems are trying to impose on Trump.
Welllll, he pulled it off once, why not again? /s
Thing is, I understand completely the frustration with the slow progress. I do. I simply don’t think that “nothing” is going on, and that “nobody” is going to be prosecuted.
In an ideal situation, this would be wrapped up quickly, within a month or two, but the situation is far from ideal.
This is more akin to trying to extract justice from the coils of a hydra-headed Deep State python, each head (the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, NSC, House, Senate, Judiciary, and even elements in the White House itself) afraid of seeing justice done because of what it is going to do to the entrenched interests of those who don’t want the reality of what has been going on to see the light of day.
I am currently re-reading the book “Witness” by Whittaker Chambers (for about the fifth or sixth time) which was, for me, a politically transforming book.
The reason I bring it up and plan to open a thread on this subject is primarily two-fold:
First, the tactics of the Left (in those days, the Democrats and the media, just like today) to protect its own are almost completely identical to what we see today when they are fighting a battle to protect their reputation and interests. The same politics of personal destruction, the outright lies, attempts to deflect, all those things are clearly seen in “Witness”.
Secondly, it is the leveraging of the instruments of government at all levels to prevent scandalous behavior and policies from seeing the light of day. The Roosevelt and Truman administrations had widespread infiltration of Soviet agents at all levels of the government, and the exposure of their behavior which allowed it, their efforts to suppress the exposure of it, and their outright deceitful behavior involved in it was thought to be so destructive to their electoral viability that they engaged in nearly the exact behavior we see today, the concerted efforts to suppress the truth using the legal cudgel of the DOJ to attack Whittaker Chambers instead of revealing the truth.
Whittaker Chambers went to the Assistant Secretary of State Adolf A. Berle in 1938 and told them all about the activities of his Communist Cell. When Roosevelt was told at some point thereafter that Alger Hiss was said to be a Soviet agent, he reportedly told the source to “Go F*ck yourself”, he didn’t believe it. And neither administration even bothered to follow up with Whittaker Chambers until 1948! After that, trials took several years before Alger Hiss was convicted...on Perjury.
Not espionage. Perjury.
So you can see, the levers of government are powerful, and action against them will move slowly. That is why I take the approach I do.
Hey joe, if , as president or vice president, were ever found to be intimidating your attorney general into doing your bidding, would it be grounds for your impeachment?
ALL of this sniping about BARR only tells me that we have OVER 2000 Deep State members in the Just Us department that need to go work at Popeye’s.
isn’t that interfering with and ongoing investigation b a Presidential candidate with a very strong conflict of interest????? where is the investigation? Where are the screaming democrats? Such hypocrisy
Just like that prosecutor he demanded be fired in the Ukraine that was investigating his son who was taking massive bribes for himself and his dad the VP.
That one thing just turned me against Joe Biden.
