George Soule, my 9th great-grandfather was a signer of the Mayflower Compact. They have a re-creation of his house at Plimoth Plantation that I’ve never seen, but hope to see this year. I’ve been to Plymouth, Mass. twice, and to Plymouth, England, and saw where the Pilgrims left from, but I had no knowledge of my ancestor on any of those visits.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I saw Plymouth Rock last summer while on vacation. I remember thinking thank goodness something the left hadn’t vandalized. Looks like I was wrong.

I thought the rock was covered by a shelter of some sort and was inside a metal rail fenced in area................. It is an open side shelter. The stone is in a pit surrounded by a guard rail. It is not protected from punk kids.
