Sadly, Washington DC polluted the Commonweath with a flood of liberal government workers and immigrants. If Virginia was one state away, it woudl still be solidly conservative. Overwhelmingly. In fact, if Virginia could just have given Fairfax and Loudon Counties to Washington DC 5 years ago, the Commonwealth would still be overwhelmlingly conservative Republican.
Virginia did not get the government they “elected” so much as they were sabotaged, undermined, and conspired against. Just the way the Commierats are now trying to do the same thing to Texas.
