Reuters) - An 83-year-old American woman who had been a passenger on a cruise ship that docked in Cambodia has tested positive for the new coronavirus on landing in Malaysia, health authorities said on Saturday.
The American woman flew to Malaysia on Friday from Cambodia along with 144 others from the ship, the Malaysian health ministry said in a statement. The woman's husband had tested negative, it said.

That husband ( testing negative) and wife were both symptomatic when they stepped off the aircraft in Malaysia...about a 1-2 hour flight
Meanwhile 144 other people shared their air supply, and now they are all scattered and heading home on other airliners.

The Bayonne, NJ ship did NOT wait 12 days. They (those except a few who had symptoms) were immediately released, into the wide, open world of travel...
....Passengers started exhibiting symptoms while traveling to New Jersey from the Bahamas. Davis posted on Twitter that four people were taken to the hospital for further screening. He told local news outlet WNBC that Newark’s University Hospital has negative-pressure isolation rooms.
Those who weren’t taken to the hospital were released, according to Davis’ tweet...

i read the excerpt wrong, (that’s what happens when i speed read uggh) I thought it said she and 144 other passengers were suspected of having it-
