THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

RICHARD RODGERS

STATE FAIR

The original film was made in 1933 with Will Rogers as the star. The 1945 musical version was the only Rodgers & Hammerstein musical made for the movies.

”IT MIGHT AS WELL BE SPRING”

This tune won the Best Song Oscar for 1945. This is what it looked and sounded like in the movie. Louanne Hogan dubbed Jeanne Craig’s lip synching.
