In over 50 years of voting, I have NEVER been swayed OR convinced by any campaign ad.

I would really enjoy spending a few hours with you explaining why your statement is not correct.

Advertising does not work with the rational mind, it is designed to "persuade" you at the emotional and subliminal level.

It uses symbols, archtypes, double meanings, hidden sexual taboos and practices, and hypnotic techniques to persuade.

Terence McKenna (the drug guy) correctly referred to television as a drug and watching television as a "trance state".

The same concept applies to today's cell phone user.

You can verify this for yourself by looking in the eyes of people watching television or staring at their phone.

One technique used is to confuse your eyes so that your brain goes into trance--this is done by motion in the advertising, first left, then right, then left, then right or up, down, up, down motion...

This stuff works--companies (and candidates) are advertising because it improves results.
