Rep. Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican, will become the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee and replace Rep. Doug Collins, a Georgia Republican, who is running for the U.S. Senate.
The decision was made, the Washington Examiner confirmed, after members of the House Republican Steering Committee voted unanimously on Thursday. Collins, who announced he will primary Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler this year, had to step down from his leadership post due to the campaign for another office.
A great choice!
“Jordan is my favorite congress guy. “
ditto ...
Good deal! Jordan is outstanding!
mee too.
He’s quick and concise and he really does his homework
Totally agree.................
If the GOP re-takes the House in November, Jordan should be rewarded with a senior leadership position. He has earned our trust.
Yes!

Great move!
Bravo!
Jordan, Meadows, Nunes, Gaetz — all great!
All have potential to run in 2024 (even though very few have ever jumped from the House to POTUS).
Speaker would be nice!
I’d add Ratcliffe to that list. He was excellent during the hearings.
How about Lee Zeldin and Elise Stefanik ... two of the last sane politicians from my home state.
Excellent!!
Yes. Definitely. I forgot Stefanik from upstate NY, too.
I hope somebody convinces Candace Owens to run for a House seat.
Excellent news.
Zeldin and Stefanik — right. I was so proud of that young lady when she boldly kicked the asses of those arrogant and sanctimonious ambassadors, et al. She was wonderful! I think she impressed the hell out of Trump, too. He admires strong women.
(NY is my home state, too — western.)
“I hope somebody convinces Candace Owens to run for a House seat.”
She has her eye on the White House and said she’ll be old enough in 2024. That’s why she and hubby took up residence in the USA and not the UK, she said. A seat in the House would be a good training ground for her.
BTW, my niece’s husband is black and his family is made up of died-in-the-wool RATs. I turned him on to Candace Owens, and he no longer is RAT, and is an outspoken Conservative. He also is an outcast at his family reunions, but he continues to work on them.
Yep - first sitting Congress-critter I ever donated to.
