From 1852 to 1890, polygamy was regularly practiced in the Mormon church. Polygamy was first practiced by Joseph Smith after God supposedly gave him a direct revelation, but it was later defended by Apostle Orson Pratt, which gave it widespread approval until Utah territory joined the United States under the condition that polygamy would be discontinued.
A new law in Utah is set to reverse that and remove heavy criminal penalties for being married to more than one spouse. It was commonly said during the gay marriage debate in the United States that once sodomy-based unions were legalized, polygamy would follow. Although some mocked the prediction, it seems to be coming true. Utah has more than 30 thousand living in polygamous communities and they seem to have found a friend in Utah senator, Deidre Henderson.
The Republican lawmaker said, “The law is a failure. It hasn’t stopped polygamy at all and it’s actually enabled abuse to occur and remain unchecked.
Local news outlets say Henderson’s bill “has gathered significant support.” The bill was unanimously approved by a legislative panel Monday.

Seriously, in the big picture of things polygamy is not as bad as gay marriage. Pedophiles is totally wrong because it is an abuse of young people, who are vulnerable.
In our crazy quest to accommodate Muslims, and various other ethnic groups, polygamy, is openly practiced in many parts of the world. In Muslim countries, in certain Asian countries, in parts of Africa, etc. polygamy is common among wealthy men.
Do I think it is a good idea? Not really. One wife, two kids, and a dog is much more than I can handle. I can’t imagine how one man could handle multiple wives, a dozen kids, etc.

Besides, if the muslims can have multiple brides, 70 virgins of they go out with a bang, (or in Rep are case husband’s and a brother), and “gays” can have sex with up to 2000 men and prepubescent boys, why can’t the Mormon followers of Lucifer’s brother Jesus?

You are correct.
Right from the beginning, Gods design was for one wife.
There were significant consequences for those in the Old Testament with multiple wives.
In Matthew 5, Jesus said even looking at, and then lusting after a woman, was already guilt of adultery in a persons heart.
Lots of evil and immorality recorded in Schripture and history, but it will always have consequences, and without repentance and forgiveness - judgement.

With your limited understanding of our life before birth I can understand your thinking that a bad thing. Heavenly Father has told us a little more about that time.
You, me, all of us were spirits living with Father before this life. Yes, that included both Jesus and Lucifer as two of our brothers.
Jesus, the first born of the spirits, followed God’s plan. Lucifer did not like Heavenly Father’s plan and tryed to convince us to do it his way. Lucifer was cast out and some of our brothers and sisters followed him.
Lucifer and his followers are your brothers and sisters who, because of their actions are denied this life. Their progression was stoped, like a dam across a stream.
Homosexuality is legal in the USA, divorce is legal, abortion is legal, polygamy is effectively legal in the ghetto, this will be legal, too.
Also, an odd benefit here is that with polygamy legalized it can also be regulated to require the same age of consent as other legal marriages. That allows for harsher punishments of people like Warren Jeffs.
Sounds good, but let the parents support the kids, no welfare for them, and let the 2,3,4, 5,6th wife be at least nine years old.

Polygamy became a non issue when no fault divorce (which was the big enchilada and which makes everything else other than pedophilia irrelevant) if there is no penalty for a guilty party betraying their spouse then you pretty much were allowing anything at all anyhow.
God spends a lot more time condemning divorce than He does polygamy because divorce hurts more people than polygamy.
