The new XFL just made its debut over the weekend, and one thing viewers did not have to stomach were social justice warrior players kneeling in protest during the Star Spangled Banner. Unlike the cowardly NFL, which in 2018 withdrew an overture to ban dishonoring protests in pregame ceremonies, the XFL brain-trust had the guts to make it very clear that kneeling will not be tolerated. Grievance mongers who entertained any ideas of doing the Kaepernick thing can take their gripes elsewhere.
Vince McMahons rebirth of the XFL, which had a previous and short-lived run way back in 2001, started up over the weekend, and the only controversy drawing widespread attention came when a player said the f-word in a live TV broadcast of a game.
Now the word was out that the league will make it hurt if anyone takes a knee during the anthem. The XFL's Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer Oliver Luck said on a weekend Bloomberg Business of Sports podcast, Therell be consequences for any players who defy the league's no kneeling edict.
During one of the games, DC?, defense tipped a pass. ...the offensive center catches the ball....runs a few yards for the 1st down . ....then goes to huddle up, then quickly turns around and runs up to the line of scrimmage and does the one arm tomahawk chop pointing down field. ....then he runs back to the huddle. ...at the huddle he bobs his head “yeah” to his fellow teammate.
It was real funny. ...probably the only time in his career he ever caught a pass and got the first down. Really made me smile. He earned that tomahawk chop.
I think the NFL is overboard with self adulation. Like when the 49ers team celebrated with that end zone selfie. ..
“Two sodomite-cavers sticking together.”
At least Hallmark canned the CEO, but perhaps it was done for the wrong reason, as both seem to be trying to recapture that market demographic.

Watched some of the game. I like the kickoff system and the point(s) after touchdown choices. Gonne watch more.
All of the XFL games will be televised.
They have deals with ESPN and Fox.
Games will air on ABC and Fox over the air,
and on ESPN and FS1 on cable.
I watched some xfl and it was pretty darn good. Looked like an nfl game to me. Glad none of the teams chose singular names. Like the California sun or something. That was always bush league to me.
It would be nice to bring back He Hate Me (running back Rod Smart) as a sideline reporter or something.
As Dan Fouts pointed out, “When he put He Hate Me on the back of his jersey, the alternative would have been Smart!”
Great!
OMG That is insane. I understand that all the players get paid like $500,000 but 20 million. Who the hell does he think he is? Jerry Rice? Joe Montana? Steve Young? I doubt it, he is a complete failure.
Read it in bleacher Report. Meanwhile xfl looking to pay quarterbacks 250k.
Tom Brady?
I kind of like the new kick off formation. No more “Suicide Squad”...my favorite duty back in the day. It is a much more sane way to deliver the ball after a score.
Football in America is a team sport. Colin is not a team mentality type of guy. He does not belong in football in AMERICA/ There’s a Canadian league, IMS ...
I proposed this from the time the NFL went to hell. Instead of catering to the 2% who are unAmerican scumbags, why not have a football network that embraces patriotism and if you cross the line even once, you’re gone.
Doesnt beling in America period.
Well, doesn’t he live in the San Fran area? So he’s not really in America when he’s in the rectum of leftafornia.
No respect for the Chick. I was hoping for one in the area but not anymore. After reading some Freeper posts about the quality of the food, I guess I haven’t been missing out on much.
I like the food. But I havent been back since they caved. I guess its been three months now.
I bought Dragons (Seattle) tickets for me and the kids for March 15. Sounds like a blast. Got 3 tickets and guaranteed covered and safe parking for less than the cost of one standing Seahawks ticket!
