DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. — President Donald Trump traveled Monday to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to pay respects to two U.S. soldiers killed Saturday in Afghanistan when a soldier dressed in an Afghan army uniform opened fire with a machine gun.
National security adviser Robert O’Brien told reporters traveling with Trump on Air Force One that the president wrapped up a reelection campaign rally in New Hampshire a bit early so he could visit with the families of the soldiers. He described such moments as “probably the toughest thing he does as president,” along with visiting wounded soldiers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

IMO, at this point, 18 years in Afghanistan is 17 years too many.
I’d like to think the travel ban approach would be enough to fend off any repeats of 9/11 terror attacks.
These senseless negotiations with the Taliban are an exercise in futility. They keep sabotaging all honest efforts on our part and there can be no real expectation of trust.
It’s just insane to accept any more American casualties, fighting in this hell hole without any path to achieve victory!!

Oh my he did that and then told reporters? This guy’s running for reelection that’s for certain. He loves doing those rally’s. It’s what he does, everyone recognize it’s his trademark. For him to end it early to go visit with soldiers families is a phenomenal statement that overshadows the hi-jinx of the democrats.
This CIC cares about his troops more than he cares about politics.

It did seem like he just read the speech and bailed. I thought something was different. Now I know.
I was there last night as well as in August of last year.I noticed that he didn’t speak as long last night as he did last August. But greeting those soldiers was the honorable thing for DJT to do..and he did it!

Is there any way to just level every mountain in that forsaken country - giving them no place to hide? Drop leaflets to villagers - get out - and fire away. Without the mountains to hide in, couldn’t we pick them off easier in the open?? I think we’d earn the thanks and respect of every person living there who hate the Taliban.
Picture the Mojave Desert without access to the Sierras - no hiding places.
Who can forget the show that Hillary and obozo put on at Dover after Benghazi? Lying in the faces of the parents of the dead Americans - with nary a blink! Absolutely NO SHAME and NO LESSONS learned!
Bravo to President Trump for that gesture....
