Amazon is a business, not the government/library. If I owned a bookstore I wouldn’t stock NAZI trash either.
The problem is that Amazon was created with the promise of no censorship, and now they have gone deep into censorship.
First they came for the Nazis, and I wasn’t a Nazi...
You know how that ends, right?
I consider it trash too, but I am alarmed at the fact they carried it in the first place, and now want to get rid of it.
When they were carrying it, was this because there was a demand for it? And they sold it because they put money over principle?
Years ago I had a Jewish friend who lamented to me that he couldn't find a copy of "Mein Kampf." I asked him why in the world he wanted such a thing and he said he wanted to see what was in it. Perhaps he would one day want to refute it or something, and in any case he was interested in seeing it.
Nowadays it's not so difficult to find stuff like this, but he told me at the time he couldn't find one.
Which is fine, I am selective about what books I take in for trade or will search for on commission.
However when you say you will carry any book no matter how offensive and then decide "except for those because I don't like them" you are going to justifiably be called a hypocrite.
