What just happened? The US Department of Justice on Monday announced it has indicted four members of the Chinese military with hacking into the computer systems of credit monitoring firm Equifax in 2017 and stealing the personally identifiable information of nearly 150 million Americans.
The government alleges that Wu Zhiyong, Wang Qian, Xu Ke and Liu Lei were members of the Peoples Liberation Army Research Institute, a branch of the Chinese military, and conspired to hack into Equifaxs networks, maintain access to the computers and steal sensitive information.
Specifically, the indictment claims the defendants exploited a vulnerability in the Apache Struts Web Framework software to conduct reconnaissance of Equifaxs online dispute portal and to obtain login credentials that could be used to delve deeper into the network. The group reportedly spent several weeks analyzing Equifaxs database structure before collecting and compressing the files they were after, splitting them up and copying them onto computers outside of the US.
The defendants are also charged with stealing trade secrets regarding Equifaxs data compilations and database design.

Roughly two and a half years from crime to indictment...just one metric for judging how quickly indictments might come on other crimes of interest to Freepers...Barr and Durham still only on the job for one year now...
Was Equifax the one where the Chief Security Officer was a music major? Who could have seen this coming????
I see. Two years of Trust Sessions doesnt count.
Roughly two and a half years from crime to indictment...just one metric for judging...
Sorry, not sorry. He had confessions to crimes, criminal referrals from congress and the IG, proof positive of lying under oath, leaking, etc... Most of the crimes been documented by the IG and Congress before he stepped in the door. Not the same thing by a long shot... He did not have to build a case. Most of the crimes are tee up for him, ready to prosecute.
Does anyone know how to find out about whose info was compromised? I know USAA has used Equifax before.
Apparently not.
When you say ‘he’, I assume you mean Barr. Do you think Barr or Durham could accept as fact anything produced by the deep state never-Trumpers prior to them coming on scene?
The referrals below are easy cases already proven. This was a year ago. Comey admitted on TV to leaking classified docs (no charges). McCabe lied to congress (no charges), the list goes on and on.

When Barr was AG.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz reached out to prosecutors about one of the memos Comey leaked to a friend, which detailed a conversation he had with President Trump, after he was fired by President Trump in May 2017.
Although prosecutors found the watchdog’s findings compelling, they reportedly decided against prosecution under classified information protection laws because of there being too much uncertainty surrounding Comey’s intent.

Devin Nunes sends Trump-Russia investigation criminal referral notification to DOJ
Everything you mention here is covered by Durham. And Barr already said he disagreed with the IG’s conclusions, so you and I both are waiting for Durham.
So will the neocons and the Democrats now start worrying as much about China as it does Russia?
What we have here is a failure to communicate. Our opinions are opposite. One referral for Comey leaking secret documents has been passed on by Barr. There doesn’t need to be a waiting period on most of the others. Their cases are ready to go with a conviction guaranteed. It is my opinion that both Barr and Durham are refusing to prosecute them. Heck even the guy that falsified the FISA is walking free (lost his job, big whop).
That there are two legals systems, one for Republicans (vicious) and one for Democrats/RINOs (passive). You might be right, but I seriously have my doubts in the Justice System.
And yes, I have plenty of reasons to doubt Barr (Mueller’s friend who wives go to Sunday School together). Barr had to have known Mueller was losing his mind (literally) and an incompetent lackey for his Trump hating team. That the investigation should not only never been started, but was a witch hunt. He refuses to investigate the Mueller Probe or Mueller’s conduct.
Durham is investigating the Russia hoax origins. That was his initial charter. What do you mean Barr refuses to investigate?
If you don’t know the illegalities to continue a criminal investigation once you know the premise of the investigation is completely false, then I don’t know what to tell you. It was part of the coup attempt. Mueller should have closed shop before he even started.
Mueller was completely mentally incompetent.
Everyone on his team knew there was no collusion on Day One.
Everyone on his team knew the Steel Dossier was full of lies.
Who on his team destroyed the Strzok and Page texts?
Mueller Team made illegal leaks to the media to destroy Trump.
Mueller Team leaked an arrest to CNN to have cameras ready.
The list goes on and on.
Honestly dude, I don’t know what you are arguing over with me. Your posts ramble. Everything you cite falls under the current Durham investigation. I cant tell you when indictments will come or why they haven’t yet. Only Durham and Barr know.
You call it rambling because your eyes are closed. Today was another example of Barr’s weakness, the Roger Stone’s Sentence Recommendation. Another example, Flynn Trial shenanigans (wasting millions to prosecute a petty crime).
He has no control over his department or doesn’t care about injustice.
Just saying. DOJ will not pursue criminal charges against ex-FBI acting boss McCabe for lying to investigators
I see that. I have found that its often best to let new news gel for about 48 hours or so to get “the rest of the story”.
