Don’t declassify anything Barr, even though R Senators are now calling on you to do so.

Why don’t you want the information declassified?

“Yes, there is an investigation...”

If the quote is accurate I would take it that there is no open investigation. AG Barr didn’t say “not on an open investigation.”

So it sounds like he was saying he won’t comment on an investigation not opened.

People can read it differently but the lack of “on an open investigation” seems clear.

“Cops with arms folded leaning against a building watching... endanger the next victim next time.”

True, but I don’t think that is the same thing as what’s going on with the DOJ.

“White collar” crime, especially political crime, is far more difficult to prosecute, because it involves politicians, otherwise known as “lawmakers”.

These people know how to skirt the law, or worse yet, CHANGE the law, if need be. Building an air-tight legal case is impossible when you are up against corrupt politicians who can commit crimes “legally” by abusing the legal system entrusted to them by the people.

Ultimately, only voters can reform a corrupt government:

Step 1) Elect a man like President Trump, who makes it very clear in his first term that he is willing to purge the deep state bureaucracy of corruption, if given a clear public mandate to do so.

Step 2) Re-elect that President with a clear public mandate to purge the deep state bureaucracy of corruption. That means a significant electoral win - a landslide. That means big coattails - gaining GOP control of both House and Senate and purging both chambers of RINOs.

Without such a mandate, all attempts by the President to purge corruption will be challenged politically, via impeachment, as we’ve just seen, the outcome of which dependent on which party controls the two chambers, and what the public perception is back home among the constituents that lawmakers represent.

The balance of power is way too close for comfort - there is no clear mandate. Trump merely fired a couple people, no indictments, and look what they’ve been able to put him through! Imagine what would have happened if the Democrats had controlled the Senate too!

Until “we the people” empower President Trump, by giving him a stronger mandate, he can’t do a purge without getting impeached - as we’ve already seen.

I’m not thrilled with the lack of indictments coming out of President Trump’s DOJ.....I’m just saying that I’m not surprised that he hasn’t been able to make it happen during his first term.

Even with good non RINO Republicans controlling both chambers and fresh off a landslide re-election, it will not be easy to purge the deep state in a second term. The Left will still have their media monopoly, and things will get very ugly.

President Trump will (of course) be depicted as a crazed, power hungry tyrant, and far worse...

I am hoping We The People come through for the President in 2020 and this time send a clear message that we want him to drain the swamp. 2016 was a beautiful upset victory, but 306 to 232 is NOT a mandate, especially without the popular vote.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Barr's not correct.

Barr has commented on the Origins of the Russia Probe investigation numerous times.

Well he is a smart man, cause commenting on open investigations are dumb.

Even though we all want the red meat now, it might be best if Barr and crew do their jobs and put forward solid open/shut cases that will guarantee a conviction.

Dan Bongino has “Mutleys” on his show .... actually had a ‘4 Mutley’ moment the other day - not sure he’s ever had a 4 before - usually a 2 means something is pretty good. I just love the Mutley ‘laugh’.

"People can read it differently but the lack of “on an open investigation” seems clear."

Applying Occam's Razor, it would seem that the investigation is not yet opened. 'Yet' seems to be the intended subtle meaning.

“Yet” may be implied but AG Barr emphasized earlier no investigation of a candidate is permitted without his prior approval.

He’s not going to do anything or allow anything right now. Especially since Joe Biden is imploding. An investigation would be far better after he hits the skids.
