Eight coronavirus cases over two days on one ship while another cruises for a port

Princess Cruises’ Diamond Princess remains quarantined to Japan after eight passengers with coronavirus were pulled off over two days while Holland America’s Westerdam cruises east Asian waters looking for a port.

Both cruise companies are owned by Miami-based Carnival Corporation.

Meanwhile, Saturday, Royal Caribbean said New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced testing by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention came up negative for coronavirus in the four passengers disembarked Friday from Anthem of the Seas.

Case on Japan Cruise ship up to 69. Another Cruise ship is searching for a port after being rejected by Japan. The NJ cruise ship tested negative for Coronavirus. Glad to see the CDC proven right, but would still like to know their reasoning for not being more cautious.

Bring Out Your Dead

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

“About 100 said they had a fever or felt unwell, according to the reports.

Passengers on the ship have been asked to stay inside their cabins to prevent new infections with some expressing confusion and frustration.

Saw a report 14 Americans have tested positive on that cruise ship.

They found 60 more on the the Diamond Princess.

Up to 130 total IIRC.

I saw that. One Chinese official said its airborne and there was speculation it could travel kilometers in the air.

Meanwhile I think they are restarting factories soon.

Sure would like to know the racial decent of them. From videos I’ve seen this week, there were at least 4 European Americans on that ship for sure. Might help the mystery of the rumors that claim it targets Asians the worst.

I think it targets Asians because it started in Wuhan.
We now have an American in Wuhan who died and 14 Americans infected on the cruise ship at Japan.
I doubt it’s targeting races.
