There are currently 40,221 confirmed cases worldwide, including 904fatalities.
Yes, people quote the deaths by flu as some sort of calming perspective, but most of those who die by flu in a winter here are the immune-compromised who were otherwise on death’s door anyway and locked away in nursing homes, etc.
They start in the afternoon, when the new numbers come out.
Saw that....had forgotten...thanks.
Surprised they don’t put one bad pill in each drug bottle. Or maybe they do.

The agreement reached Tuesday night called for a three-day transition period before the pact is fully implemented and “all UPS flights into, and out of, mainland China will be operated on a voluntary basis,” according to IPA.

You believe the CDC? Straight from their site, they were clueless how Ebola is transmitted. Had their quote as my tagline for year.
Comment: Remember Brighton is where some of the first Britons tested positive.

A GP practice in Brighton has been temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus.
Patients at the city’s County Oak medical centre have been advised to contact the NHS 111 phone service if they have concerns...

This is one thing that concerns me in the US as well. How many healthcare professionals were exposed to Coronavirus thinking they were dealing with flu?
From your link of them cleaning out the rooms. More cases will be around the corner with them carrying bedding up against their faces.
Oh, for the days when there were warnings of putting dry cleaning bags on your kids.
Ha!
And right there is where the numbers are being fudged. How many "died at home" have yet to be found?
You’re reminding me, I know the suspected tourist case in Manhattan turned out a false alarm, but what about the couple in Queens?
Like someone else mentioned (bgill??).... we’re not hearing ANY follow up on ANY of these cases....confirmed, suspected, etc.
Where are they? Who are they??
Unreal.
If it were MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters, causing havoc on society, we’’d know their every step....for weeks.
Coronavirus are a type of virus. It has been likely for decades that a mass pandemic would either come out of this type of virus or some type of hemorrhagic fever.
Gates speaking at a conference about that is not suspicious at all. It means he has people talking to him that are aware.
Comment: nothing new, just more confirmation...

Grocery store “just in time” is 3 days.
Bought a washing machine yesterday. Bet it was made in China. Hopefully, it’s been sitting in a warehouse for over 14 days.
I agree. a little good news:
The second Cornell University student who met the criteria for testing of the coronavirus received negative results, university officials said in a statement on Sunday.
University officials previously stated on Friday that the first student who met the criteria for testing did not have the coronavirus.
There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in New York State so far.

Whats even creepier than not hearing from the news is not hearing from the patients or the US quarantined folks themselves. No Facebook posts? Twitter? Selfies?
