It really pisses me off, if true.
So I don’t want to be part of something fake. There’s enough of that in the Drivebys.
I used newspapers.com and could find only 1 newspaper at that time for South Bend. The South Bend Tribune. The story was not in it. The newspapers heading from the OP is South B in a scripted font. The South Bend Tribune uses a Times New Roman type of font. Could be different newspapers, but newspapers.com only has The South Bend Tribune.
What also may be photoshopped is the news story itself. The front page looks real, aged, creased. The bleed-through from what may be the flip side is telling....even behind the banner logo....at the very top of the page. Unusual. Or maybe 'bleedthrough' is from another paper stacked on top for ages.
At any rate, why would anyone save this edition ? Would this be the lead story ?
I'm not buying.
The story of Mayor Pete strangling dogs has to be researched and documented. If the story is fake and Free Republic pushes it, the result is not good. FR has been through this before. The photoshopped picture of John Kerry and Jane Fonda brought about a ban on posting Getty images on FR.
