Graham Hancock in his most recent book, "America Before", deals at length with the comet impact event that probably both started and ended the Younger Dryas. As always, an interesting read.

I don’t think the flood event was the same as the Younger Dryas Event. I think the flood came later. There are some ideas about Black Sea flooding that I found interesting.
