The left can’t honestly win power through selling their bankrupt ideas to the voting public, so they resort to using the force of government to tilt the playing field in their favor.
That strategy is only successful in the short term. Eventually the other side realizes they’re being cheated out of equal and fair participation in the game, and they turn the table upside down; i.e., revolution.

In the mid-60’s I had a 7th grade social studies teacher in Amarillo showing us how he and his fellow democrats gerrymandered the Texas panhandle (with Lubbock) to produce more democrat legislators. Worked really well. He was proud of the results. Our assignment was to put the counties together to produce better results. Real crooked. Things didn’t change until the late 80’s when we discovered our democrat legislator was actually a gun grabber.
Sure, we could just rearrange state lines so democrats can win. Then when everyone moves we can move them again.

He does realize that he complains about the GOP hold on the Senate, then in the next breath proposes something to “improve the consensus” there? Gosh, sounds like there already is a consensus there, just one he doesn’t like. I’ll bet if you asked him, he’d swear he is a good and fair “journalist.” He might even mean it or believe it. These leftists have been fed, and happily swallowed a steady stream of BS propaganda for so long they have lost their grip on reality in many ways.

Aside from the dumbness of the question, I would like to note the following double standard (the latest of many):
Dems gerrymandering to break Republican majorities = acceptable and the right thing to do.
Republicans gerrymandering to break Dem majorities = corrupt, racist, evil, subversive, abuse of white privilege, etc.
