What they mean is ALL TIME HIGH SINCE HILLARY WAS DEFEATED.
Articles like this make me homesick for Pangaea . . .
That is peanuts compared to the global warming which ended last ice age, melting 4 mile thick glaciers in mid-west and forming the Great Lakes.
Weather-wise, the peninsula really isn’t associated with the rest of Antarctica.
67.6 > 65
Which means the article is fake news

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC:
Coldest Place on Earth Found
By Alejandra Borunda
PUBLISHED June 27, 2018
Just how cold can it get on Earths surface? About minus 144°F, according to recent satellite measurements of the coldest known place on the planet.
Scientists recorded this extreme temperature on the ice sheet deep in the middle of Antarctica during the long, dark polar winter. As they report this week in Geophysical Research Letters, the team thinks this is about as cold as it can possibly get in our corner of the solar system.
I know a few lefties who have already latched onto this article and have been declaring that The End Is Near.
which is on a peninsula, surrounded by a lot of water.
I’m curious about how many electric heaters they had stationed around their weather station.
You know those “scientists” weren’t going to freeze their balls off just to read a temperature gauge.
hope can a “record” sound about right. About right applies to normal. Normal and record are mathematical terms not subjective.
It was 63 degrees F on my front porch this afternoon at 2pm, yesterday it was 28 degrees F at 2pm.
This has to GOREBALL WARMING, I am going to panic now!
And back around 72, it hit about 90 in Rochester, NY - in January...so what?
That’s the thing about records, the shorter the period one has been keeping track, the less meaningful they are....now if they had records going back 10,000 years, it might mean something - except the smart money is that the “record” ain’t anywhere near a record...
We know that cold records are also being recorded but we never hear about them...
Can anyone direct me to where I might find the average global temperature for any given year.
I’m suspicious that the only data easily available is telling us how much it has risen. But no actual temperatures.
