I think they assumed that Biden was going to get the edge as the ‘safe’ establishment candidate, but were shocked the see that he barely made 4th place behind the crazies.
They had to come up with some excuse, diversion, red flag, wag the dog scenario to not allow that news to get out immediately.
They had no idea that he would be so lousy...................
Some say to "Never blame corruption for what can easily be incompetence".....to which I always add, "But remember, the corrupt cannot succeed without the incompetent."
