As he wrote, the President brought him to Washington and then to the White House.

Its one of those things you don’t think will ever happen to you - until it does.

He didn't say, but added there were details that as of now he can't reveal.

For me, this was the best opening monologue I have ever listened to in my 30 years of being a Rush fan.

But to answer your question, while he never mentioned it, I wouldn't be surprised that Trump sent Air Force 1 down to pick them up......After all, he's the boss.

The Commander-in-Chief has a fleet of Air Force jets that provide VIP transportation. Everyone recognizes the Boeing 747s that function as Air Force One, and the C-32 (Boeing 757) that President Trump sometimes uses for shorter trips, and also provides airlift for the VP, members of the cabinet, the First Lady and members of Congress.

But the USAF also has a number of business jets that can be used as well. There are five C-20s (Gulfstream IIIs) at Andrews AFB, along with four C-37s (Gulfstream Vs). Guessing that one of those aircraft was dispatched to pick up Rush and his wife and deliver them to Washington.

BTW, just after the State of the Union, an on-line aircraft tracking site posted that EIB-1 was departing DCA with a flight plan filed for Boston. However, if you enter the tail number for Rush’s Gulfstream G550, it tells you that tracking info for that aircraft is not shared. So, the tracking report might have been bogus.
