New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo has "lost his mind" on immigration policy, retired U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Tom Homan said Friday.
Appearing on "Fox & Friends: First," Homan said Cuomo is "spitting in the face of federal law."
Last December, the controversial "Green Light Law" was passed by the Sanctuary State's Democratic Legislature and signed by Cuomo. Under the law, county and state motor vehicle departments may accept applications for licenses, regardless of immigration status.
New York is just one of the 15 states and Washington D.C. which operates under similar laws.
On Wednesday, Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf announced exclusively on Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that DHS was suspending enrollment in several Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) for New York residents immediately in response to the "Green Light Law."
The suspension is likely to affect some 800,000 people over the next five years, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Assistant Commissioner, Office of Field Operations Todd Owen told Fox News on Thursday. Cuomo's office announced Friday they would sue the federal government over the decision.

Cumo is perhaps the worst governor in the history of our nation.
It’s been a very calculated plan to get us to this point where we have more than 30 million fraudulently documented foreigners embedded in every part of our country.
The same people who enticed these people to come here with no enforcement are not going to help us remove them.
People like Flimsey Grahamnesty who has voted for amnesty THREE times have demonstrated that they side with the fraudulently documented foreigners and not the citizens and the rule of law.
If we want to keep our country we must restore the rule of law, not eliminate it.
What mind?
Being elected governor of ny is a test of mental deviance.
You know it’s bad when Fredo seems like the more sane Cuomo...
I’ve little doubt you’re correct. :^)
Well, as long as the NY garbage stays in NY, who cares?
Lets Wrap This FReepathon Up Early, Folks Donate Today!
As someone famously said, elections have consequences. Suck on it New Yawkahs!
There another aspect of the CBP “suspension” that has not been widely reported. The export of used motor vehicles is big business in New York and New Jersey. In order for the vehicles to clear customs, the CBP needs to verify title, which requires access to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles database for vehicles registered in NY. As a result of the “Green Light Law,” CBP is no longer allowing the export of used vehicles that are registered in NY.
Seems to me he lost it some time back.
From the article: “New York is just one of the 15 states and Washington D.C. which operates under similar laws.”
Why hasn’t the CBP taken the same action in the other 14 states?
Although the suspension of the Global Entry Program will have a direct effect on me and my family when we have to renew in two years, I would like to see the CBP suspend the use of drivers’ licenses as an airport ID for everyone who has a drivers license issued by the 15 states that offer drivers licenses to illegal aliens.
Here in WA state if you use a drivers license for air travel or ID for entering federal buildings and military bases it has to be an enhanced version or you need a passport or other papers to show your here legally. MI, MN, VT and now NY are the same.
You are spot on. These Demonic Democrats are traitors that have burrowed into our government and are destroying us from the inside.
Do something about it!
You or someone like you!
Uphold the laws of America!
My understanding is that criminal aliens can apply for an enhanced drivers license in NY and so what good is an enhanced license for air travel?
One has to actually possess something before they can lose it.
I can’t speak for NY but illegal or criminal aliens can’t in WA.
Here when going to the DMV for it we have to have a birth certificate or proof of citizenship, identity verification, SSN and proof of WA residency.
Too much Pizza and spirit cooking.
The whole country gets to “suck on it”, as these illegals end up relying on our “safety net” for basic essentials (housing, food, public schools) - some of those are federal programs.
Many people don’t understand that these policies are not just about importing masses of dependent future Dem voters; they are about preventing the large-scale appearance of ghost towns across high-tax areas in this country. Here in neighboring NJ, whole school districts would close without the imported “clients”, and whole neighborhoods would be vacant. Rather than accept this, the elites just turn a blind eye to our laws and pass the costs of these illegals on to the rest of us who pay taxes - and the resulting crime, deterioration, etc. is just ignored.
This issue was critical to Trump’s election, and frankly I don’t see enough done to address it.
