No mas! No mas! Por favor!!
This is a 2 year old article.
Por los hijos.
Notice that she uses the red car as a barrier/protection and then the driver took off. He/she needs to be pulled in for something, publicly shamed if nothing else.
Good control, but that one gal looks like she is coming back to pull her child away, and puts herself in the line of fire....
Somehow the off-duty officer "stops the threat", gets into a cover position (then the car leaves!) then isolates and neutralizes the threat.
Kudos to you ma'am for your bravery.
That is a very satisfying video to watch.
...is that Portugese....?? this took place almost 2 years ago in Brazil.....no speaka da Spanish there, I believe....
Si!
I think I'm in love!
Although I think she may have cut it just a leetle too close with the other mom and child in the LOF...but all's well that ends well...and there is no better end than a screaming, hurting and bleeding perp laying on the ground with a woman kicking his butt to make him lay down.
Well, the fact that he died is a good ending, too, but I'm sure there is a bleeding heart out there that will ask why she didn't just shoot his trigger finger off or something equally stupid.
No mais, no mais, por favor! Better?
Wow.
When a major New York City posts an article like this, Second Amendment supporters are winning, winning, winning.
Two years old...
Thanks for the reality check.
Esta bien!
Someone translate to Portuguese, please.
That chest shot killed him. I dont care how old this article is, its quite satisfying to see a bad guy get his due.
Looks like 2 quick shots at the typical self-defense range, 2-3 feet, straight into his center mass (central to upper chest). The other lady and her child were behind but to the right of the attacker and not directly in the line of fire, although they could have been moving behind the attacker while the lady was shooting and a missed shot or an exiting round (exiting from the attacker) could have hit them. From the angle, it probably felt safe for the lady to use, so I’m ok with that.
The third shot, though, seems to come as the attacker is falling and the lady shooter is backing away quickly to her left rear and to behind the red car, and it looks like it’s aimed down toward his groin, or left hip, or upper left thigh, and it doesn’t really look aimed, sort of a just “I’d better shoot again” point and shoot. That one could have missed and ricocheted off the road and hurt someone. But I’m not gonna fault the lady shooter for that third shot, overall she did what needed to be done and had little time to do it.
She’s just lucky, however, that he wasn’t targeting her initially in his demand to hand over the money/purse/whatever, but instead was looking and reaching past her to her right to another woman, as it took his attention off the lady shooter and gave her time to back up a step or so and reach into her purse and fish for (it didn’t look smooth) and draw her weapon. It might have all turned out worse if she’d been the one he demanded to give up the purse.
It just shows that concealed weapons are useful, but you have to be aware of your environment, have your concealed weapon where it’s quick and easy to draw reliably, and have practiced both the response to an unexpected attack and the drawing of the concealed weapon.
