If I’m not mistaken, the Catholic Missal has a prayer in it for the President of the United States. While I have no problem with pre-written prayers, a person can pray them sincerely, or just speak them, without any sincerity or feeling at all. I’m of the mind that Nancy “prays” that particular prayer, in the latter manner, which, if true, is meaningless, as insincere rote praying reaches no higher than the ceiling. But of course, that’s between her and God.
