This week, something of great significance has happened in the UK. Something that has implications far beyond its shores and that will affect the Church and Western democracy for years to come.
Future historians will look back and see this incident as an indication of the decline of Western democracy and it's replacement with an authoritarian ideology far removed from the liberal democracy birthed from Christianity.
We are not talking about the day that the UK finally left the EU - important though that is. No, this week an incident happened that at first sight seems trivial. Franklin Graham was first of all banned from the Liverpool ACC, then Sheffield and most chillingly of all, from the Glasgow SEC.

Nope, these aren’t the end-times.
What the UK church of scotland is doing to Mr. GRaham is wrong, but it ain’t “end-time” — check in contrast the suffering of the Japanese Christians in the 1700s, of Christians in the ME 2012-2017 etc. and this is mild
What’s the reality here on the ground, Brits?
the news seems conflicting and confusing - I understand that the venues cancelled him?
I just wonder:
1. What does he say that is so offensive? Calling something a sin is quite different from calling for the deaths of someone
2. Why did they invite him in the first place?
3. Is the UK gov involved in some way?
Thanks - going through the mire that is any news today is like treading through a marsh
As far as I’m aware he hasn’t been banned from the UK by the government, just various private venues by SJWs doing the usual trick of bullying anyone who doesn’t ideologically conform with boycotts and threats.

I would be very much surprised if anybody in HMG had even heard of Mr Graham before seeing media reports of this row.
(This has awakened long-dormant memories. In a previous incarnation as a born-again (or so I thought) teenager, I played a small part in the organisation of one of his father’s British rallies c.1960).
Exactly. The ways in which the news media gives half truths, so it seems like the UK Gov has banned his entry, is incredible
