Russian-controlled forces in Syria have been roaming deeper into U.S.-held territory, raising the risk of conflict in an apparent effort to challenge our presence in the northeast, according to a senior State Department official.
These are not daily occurrences, but they have been increasing in number, James Jeffrey, the State Departments lead negotiator for the Syria crisis, told reporter

Are Russian-controlled the same as Russian? Or a mix?
They are primarily Russian nationals working for a Russian commercial military provider that operates under Russian command in Syria. Some local mercenaries and paramilitary units may also answer to the Russians on an ad hoc basis. This method permits Putin to avoid concern in Russia over cost and Russian military casualties.
Well, if they want to die we will give them the opportunity.
We need to get out of these hellholes.
Again?
When did it stop?
We police the world’s hellholes because we want to remain the world’s superpower. We do not want the chaos that would come if we stood down. And, in a roundabout way, the world also wants us in charge and pays us by using the dollar as its trade and reserve currency and financing our massive budget deficits for Medicare and Social Security.
> We do not want the chaos that would come if we stood down
Oh yeah, because it’s sooooooooo orderly with us dumping trillions of dollars into shitholes.
Well, considering they are there at the invitation of the Syrian government...and we are there with no US Congressional authorization, no UN security council authorization, no nothing. Just one day we decided to invade Syria.
Our position is weak morally and legally. But we have firepower so we get away with it.
Strategic discipline urges that we avoid unnecessary and unprofitable commitments. The better approach is to make local allies mostly responsible for cleaning up the hellholes after we have delivered punishment to any malefactors or menaces against us.
The last time our forces encountered these “Russians”,they were completely slaughtered as Gen. Mattis simply stated. So they need not go where they know not to go but if they want to get dead,go ahead.
The US government has proven beyond all doubt that it is utterly incapable of exercising strategic discipline for any significant length of time.
simple WTH are we doing with troops in Syria?
Checking Russia add China most likely
That is why America’s voters in 2016 rejected both party establishments and elected an energetic, successful, results driven businessman to get the nation’s foreign and security lines of work into shape.
*** simple WTH are we doing with troops in Syria? ***
We are there because of Israel, and oil. Oh, wait, we are there to give Syria freedom and democracy.
We are there to make sure the White Helmets can continue to kidnap women and children for false flag snuff videos.
We are there because Iran, and Russia are bad, and are there, even though the legitimate Gov’t of Syria invited them.
We are there because Trump decided to renege on his election promises to get out of Syria.
We are there for all the wrong reasons.
but WE said we were leaving.
Then why did WE say we are leaving?
Solution: US get out of Syria. Use the money to safeguard our southern border - or give it back to hardworking Americans in a tax refund.
“We police the worlds hellholes because we want to remain the worlds superpower. We do not want the chaos that would come if we stood down. “
That’s crap. We caused massive chaos by invading Iraq and destroying Libay - and by fund the jihadis in Syria. This was all the doing of Bush Jr. (Iraq), Obama (Libya), and McCain and Hillary (Syria). Trump said it was all a massive waste of US money, and we should focus on America, not nation-building in the middle east.
#2. Who cares? Give them 2 warning shots with a 3rd “for effect” just to get the message through to them. After that, “light’em up”!
