A trio of swing-state senators got a lot of love from their fellow Democrats after voting guilty on two articles of impeachment against President Trump Wednesday, as their colleagues hailed them for political courage.
Immediately after their historic votes, Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.; Doug Jones, D-Ala., and Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., were rushed by fellow Democrat lawmakers who gave them hugs, pats on the back and handshakes.
As the three undecided Democrats before Wednesdays vote, and under tremendous pressure from all sides, their decision to stick with their party led to an outpouring of support.

Sinema ran around saying she would be “independent” and for Arizona. She stole the election and McSally surrendered because she knew Ducey would appoint her to the other seat.
Sinema will wear this vote for the rest of her life.
Im always surprised by all the Peeps that fall for Manchins act.
Barack Obama can tell you he was a reliable vote.
Nothing has changed.
.
I hope people will finally figure out that Manchin is a FRAUD. He runs as a conservative and then votes with the herd. And the eneMedia cover for him by calling him a moderatel
Good thing this was not a political hit job from then very beginning.
Saying their good-byes, these guys and gal are toast,
She’s been at least as good as McTurd or Flake were.
This was a no-brainer vote for democrats, just support the party and keep all the good things the party does for an incumbent Senator coming. Never expect them to “do the right thing” or anything involving principles...they don’t think that way. Everything is political - power and money. THEIR power and money.
Screw Jo Girlchin.
“Immediately after their historic votes, Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.; Doug Jones, D-Ala., and Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., were rushed by fellow Democrat lawmakers who gave them hugs, pats on the back and handshakes.”
Doug Jones should bask in this adulation as much as possible - because in 9 months or so, he’s gonna be on the receiving end of some real unpleasant electoral news.
As for Manchin and Sinema, they’re only two years into their terms as US Senators. Voters unfortunately don’t always have a long memory and they’ll be returned to office in four years.
Traitors should swing.
Manchin and Sinema just won in 2018 too, no one will remember this in 2024.
Doug Jones was toast either way. Let him yuk-it-up while he can, Alabama voters will be giving him their own verdict on his short tenure as a U.S. Senator soon enough.
Manchin is DEAD to me.
It’s frightening that all the members of the rat party will put petty politics over the good of the country. I wonder how our soldiers feel about defending the country knowing these hateful, Marxist’s are trying to destroy it.
Manchin keeps making WV voters squeal like a pig.
Can't we blame Mitch for Doug Jones? And Sinema...I get the feeling Arizona isn't as red as it once was.
how queer,
when Clinton was impeached we were all told it was settled when he remained in office
and he’d been caught red handed lying under oath and bribing and threatening others to lie under oath and not just in fornigate.
For sure, 2 of the three are going to loose reelection.
I told people Sinema is all about winning the other AZ Senate seat and she will do what she is ordered to do.
This was not a problem of voters staying home. With Trump getting 68% of the vote, this was a problem of the WV GOP putting up a terrible candidate. WV no longer has a "straight party" option on its ballots which means that voters split their ballots.
Manchin was just reelected in 2018, so this treasonous scum is still around until Jan 2025. Doug Jones was going to lose this year, regardless. He wanted to prove his bona fides to the leftist pigs, he’s done it. I’d suggest he not return to the state to even campaign. Sinema was the result of having a piss-poor GOP nominee running against her, who now occupies the other seat and is in jeopardy of losing it to an anti-2nd amendment Communo-Fascist this year.
Whats the big deal. None of the gladhanders were voters.
