I hope Manchin doesn’t flip. I want all the rats to go down with the ship. He’s been milking that “moderate democrat” schtick for too long.

The president will speak after the verdict? Fantastic.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) spoke defending the President, who “did nothing wrong” in the Ukraine matter, and noted that career bureaucrats being virtually an unelected fourth branch of government, some of them have overreached in their arrogance over policy matters.

Will vote not guilty on both counts.

On Manchin’s FB page, he was vigorously patting himself on the back for “helping miners”.

This is but one sample of the replies:

Tamara Ward:
You did nothing! President Trump is taking care of miners not you. How many years have you been in power and done less then nothing. You try to straddle the fence and act like you support the president but you do not. I and all of my friends are committed to using our influence and money to see you removed because of your failure to get this impeachment debacle over. We do not need witnesses, it is crystal clear that the president is CNN not guilty of anything except beating a liberal fair and square. You’re a pathetic waste of oxygen and the biggest hm mistake West Virginia ever made, but we can rectify that when you’re up for re-election.

As expected.

Message from the Senate to the House is, don’t bother to send us partisan impeachments. They’re going to be DOA.

Democrats gave in to their worst instincts and will pay the price.

Let’s not spike the ball quite yet. This is politics in the US. Anything can happen and it wouldn’t surprise me if something else delays this vote.

got it off Daily Beast when he had lunch with the press yesterday...
“Trump indicated that tonight’s speech will run to one-and-a-half hours, and he planned to mention but spend little time talking about the ongoing impeachment proceedings. That, he said, will be reserved for the barn-burner he plans to deliver on Wednesday after the Senate acquits him.”

You clusterf*cked W Virginians, its YOUR fault! You could have sent a GOP senator in 2018 but you didn’t want to.

Elections have consequences.

The President has a firewall. We’ll see what that means in a few hours.

My message was directed to them. They’re stuck with Manchin until 2024.

I just saw a headline at AZ Central that said Sinema probably won’t vote to acquit.

In her situation she needs the party to fund her. Their checkbooks are directly connected to her shorthairs.

Manchin has a bit more wiggle room. He's likely the only Democrat who could win in WV at this point. They either let him go rouge or the seat flips to a Republican.
