The short answer is yes. I don’t agree with the moral equivalency of failing to shake someone’s hand after that person did not use the language dictated by precedent to introduce the President justifies the tearing up of his speech that was an official document to the entire House. Pelosi went way beyond what is acceptable. She should be censured.

He didn’t shake Pence’s hand either. He just handed them their copies of the speech and then turned to the podium - I don’t think he even saw Nancy’s hand. Pence didn’t hold out his hand, so its probably not protocol.

He had observed that students who used factual information--statistics, polls and stuff that can be counted--were more often than not liberals.
Conservatives, on the other hand, would rely on emotion, symbols, strong religious beliefs and writings of dead white men (although he used a different term), and usually shunned statistics.
It wasn't true then, and for sure it's not now.
Just look at the symbolism on display last night among the most prominent Democrats in the United States Congress, with the women attired in their mock-priestess garb and soon-to-be-ex-Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripping in half all five copies of the text of the President's State of the Union speech.
President Trump did not shy away from reciting (in round numbers) all the gains in employment, income, industrial output, exports, etc., achieved during his first three years in the White House. Emotional? Yes, if it brings a smile to your face and it did to mine. We can expect the WaPo and other media will call it all a bunch of lies, but what can we expect from them?
Emotional tirades, videos of starving (illegal) immigrants and symbols such as uniforms, caps, masks, and extended middle fingers are now wholly and almost exclusively in the toolbox of Democrats and their fellow travelers.
Has nothing to do with feelings. She destroyed an official document.
