I was educating the poster who marveled at the jews and the calf. I referenced a parallel.

What has become known as "Easter" had its beginnings in the context I've already described. Pagans used their "festivals" as excuses for fornication. That's why many of the jews at the calf were so excited. They were emulating their lives in Egypt.
