To be fair it didn’t feel political to me when I saw...plus Beyonce is asked to sing the National Anthem pretty often and she does it well. Albeit there was a slight lip syncing controversy when she was sick.

He was focusing on the show that he and his wife had put together, including picking the singers for the first two songs.

He said it wasn’t out of protest.

I would like to think I’d stand, even in a private room (where I didn’t think the camera would catch me!)

But I don’t stand in my home when it’s on before a game.

I don’t think it was on purpose.

But then he goes on to say how he made major protest statements with the columbian and spanish singes he chose so he’s still an idiot.

But I dont think he sat out of malice.

Either way, I realized once again what a Beautiful and Poignant song it is and how so many have sacrificed so much for our country.

I also wonder if simmons know that a black man was one of the first to die on our side in the battle of which the song is based on.
