To be fair it didnt feel political to me when I saw...plus Beyonce is asked to sing the National Anthem pretty often and she does it well. Albeit there was a slight lip syncing controversy when she was sick.
He was focusing on the show that he and his wife had put together, including picking the singers for the first two songs.
