If Schumer were to lose his seat, who would become minority leader, Durbin?

I live upstate and thought her district was part of Brooklyn, but yes, NY 14th is indeed Queens and Bronx.
I thought she represented more woke brooklynites, but it seems her district is more standard ranks of the free shit army.

Ummmm, AOC (If the scenario happens, which is close to 0%) would be one of 48 Senators with a minority status concerning her State (Behind the bottle blonde vapid chick)
If you are not Majority or Minority leader in the Senate, you don't control squat and relegated to floor speeches and props in the background performing Party talking points when summoned to the mic.

Diane Feinstein’s when it comes up. I doubt if she will run again.

We were discussing Democrat voters.

Feinstein was ready to retire at the end of her last term, but decided to run one last time. I think her term ends in 2024, unless she resigns or something then the guv can appoint a replacement. She’s in her 80’s I think.
Schiff needs to be voted out this year. CA has a rigged system where voters can cross over and vote in the other party’s primary and the top 2 primary vote getters end up on the November ballot. So in a lot of contests you end up with 2 Democrats on the final ballot.
There is some talk that Dr. Drew may challenge his seat. He (or anyone) could challenge him in the primary, and then challenge him again in the general election if he comes in 2nd (or 1st with Schiff 2nd). In either case I’d expect the few GOP voters in that district will vote for whomever the challenger is, even if he/she is a Democrat.
