How can you help? Stay healthy. Stay away from hospitals. Especially if you have the flu. Even if its this virus. Stay home and don’t go out. Take advil. Stay in bed. If you have family seperate yourself. Don’t go to work or school.
80% of the people who have it have fever and a non-productive cough (dry cough with little to no phlegm). When it gets really bad, you can expect nausea and muscle aches. Stay away from people 5 days before and 5 days after symptoms.
What makes this virus so bad is that it moves from person to person very easily. You can transmit the disease before and after symptoms. You can transmit it just by touch. And you can transmit it by touching an object and leaving virus on that object. That is pretty impressive for most flues or colds. Many people will get less severe symptoms. Great for you. But don’t power through it. You can still give it to your family and friends. And they may not be so lucky. It appears to kill some 1% to 2%. Those aren’t good odds for your family.
How do you ‘stay away from people 5 days before symptoms’?
