and btw, not everyone wants to be tested for the gene cancer tests for a variety of reasons...one of which is they just dont want to know

HOWEVER, if your family does want to be tested they will have to jump through hoops to get it for free.

and THAT is what I was trying to tell you.

And for those of you interested in the cancer gene test..believe it or not..and yes this is hard to believe..but just having breast cancer is not enough to get you the free gene test. You have to meet other parameters.

My insurance company follows a certain standard. Don’t remember what it is called. I had to point out to them that their interpretation of those parameters was incorrect and that I did, indeed, qualify for the free test. they tried to deny it a couple of times based on a couple of different reasons.

I won the appeal.

Get it approved before you do the test and you won’t run into those kinds of problems
