None of us agreed with our relatives decision..but it was right for the person and we had to accept it. Money was no object. We wanted to fight. Go anywhere..do anything. No matter how experimental.

But it wasn’t our decision.
It was tough.

But if I get the dreaded C late stage word..I will likely do the same. Go off on adventures, spend my money, and forgot the hell that comes with a few extra months.

My mother was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor at the age of seventy. She was given the menu of options available to her and chose to do ... nothing. She made it six months... and was generally okay until the last two.

My father was diagnosed with bladder cancer at the age of 91. He also chose to do nothing. He was fine until the last six weeks or so then rapidly went downhill.
