There is no doubt whatsoever that the dems want to take guns from non-violent, honest citizens (us) while leaving them in the hands of violent criminals.

Leftists always overreach. Always. They have to. It is the only logical outcome of their philosophy. The American Leftists efforts are obviously at their endgame. They're openly violent and hostile to Right-wing speakers and events, they're quite candid about their calls for confronting the Right in restaurants and gas stations and in their homes, and they are calling for many massive increases to government to start immediately. We have never had a single program cost more than a trillion dollars in a single year, and they are proposing at least 3 at the moment.
And just take a quick peek at the overreach in Virginia lately, fueled entirely by the DC suburbs. In a cute little twist of irony, the Dems lost the total vote count in their state House and state Senate races... and still came out with a majority of reps in each, to get this attack really rolling. (Odd how Hillary isn't protesting this fact. Ahem.)
November 2020 will see an epic amount of open vote fraud, and Dems challenging any election in the courts where they lost by up to 5%. Nothing is off the table, because if they lose the next 4 years, they are not likely to ever have this chance at long term permanent power again.
Yeah. The election is coming up.
If it doesn't go the way they want, they are not going to want us armed and being able to fight back against their coup.

Lizzie Warren’s gun grabbing bill is nothing new. Following the assassinations of Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy, Congress rammed through what became known as the Gun Control Act of 1968. It imposed FFL dealers, BATF Form 4473, restrictions on imports, etc. We live with them to this day more than fifty years later.
But the bill that Lyndon Johnson signed into law did not include national registration of firearms and federal licensing of owners; he was in a steaming rage when he signed the bill (he was retiring from office but most members of Congress were not).
Gun owners have dodged several legislative bullets since then and even seen rights restored such as shall issue concealed carry. But the Left’s urge to confiscate is always there and has emerged in the form of Red Flag laws.
Notice that Lizzie’s bill and all the Virginia bills have no effect whatsoever on criminals (who are natural allies of the Left). A bill to stiffen penalties on criminals who use a gun in a crime was soundly defeated in the VA assembly.
This is nothing less than class warfare against those recalcitrant citizens who own guns and will never vote Democrat. Dems have already convinced themselves that gun owners are mostly middle aged white males who have shrunk in numbers to such an insignificant minority that they can be safely ignored at the polls.
This year is the worst for attacks on the 2nd Amendment since 1968.
Perhaps if she really were an American Indian -- a population that WAS disarmed by the U.S. government, and subsequently slaughtered in many regions of America -- Liz might better understand.

My “letter to the editor” (Denver Post) on the subject of civilian disarmament and the link it has to democides was rejected...I used a 250M deaths by government in the 20th Century as a round number estimate...(After all, for the Bolsheviks, what’s a few million deaths one way or other?)
Reason given was my “figures were inflated” and “hyperbolic”...Looks like others agree the numbers are sound...Give or take a million here, a million there...
