Senator Rand Paul is calling for President Trump to strip the security clearance of jilted former National Security Advisor John Bolton, after the ultra-hawk revealed classified national security information in an upcoming tell-all book.
Bolton was fired by Trump as National Security Advisor in September for endlessly agitating for neocon wars...

Sources indicate that the removal of Bolton’s clearance ranges from possible to likely. President Trump slammed his former National Security Advisor’s release of classified information in a tweet last week.

Rand Paul previously led the charge in calling for deep state liberal John Brennan to lose his security clearance. Brennan, a former CIA director in the Obama administration, almost immediately reinvented himself as a vociferous anti-Trump pundit upon leaving office.

I don’t think it’s just for cause.
Worked at a big IT place. Once I was no longer there I went back one time, had to be escorted.
Security escorted me out of the building of a subsidiary I was applying for...did not know why until years later.
Has been a employment black mark ever since.

I don’t get it, as I’m not part of the ruling class. I would figure if you no longer need the clearance, you no longer should have the clearance.
There is something about getting information from them later is easier if they still have their clearance.
Yep, if he can’t follow simple guidelines he doesn’t need a security clearance.
There are hundreds who should have their security clearance revoked. If it were up to me, AFTER a drug test, I’d have everyone reviewed for proper level of clearance.
Once someone leaves a government job that requires a security clearance, regardless of the reason for leaving, that person’s security clearance should be deactivated immediately upon departure. It’s really that simple.
Why does ANYBODY keep a security clearance when they don’t have anything to do with SERVING WE THE PEOPLE (AKA working for government for real (no lobbying) at any level)?
Bolton should be stripped of more than just his security clearance...

Standard procedure is to leave clearance intact and remove the need-to-know...
Absolutely, should have been done the minute Bolton threatened Trump that he will be sorry for firing him.
What good would it do? Trump ordered Brennan’s clearance revoked and it still has not been done.
